Dianne Marcum grew up in Florida in the not-so-long-ago days before bug spray and air conditioning. Writing was an early passion but life took a different path and she found herself with a business degree and a professional career with Walt Disney World. In the midst of the Disney magic, Dianne received an education in travel and tourism.

While searching for the treasures of her family history, she also unearthed her love of writing. The journey has taken her to Ireland several times where she discovered that storytelling is the heritage of her O’Connell ancestors.

Today Dianne lives in Cape Canaveral. Involvement with local environmental groups, community organizations, and civic boards has deepened her conviction that this unique stretch along Florida’s Atlantic coast is a recreational and cultural jewel—one of those rare spots that is as much fun for residents as it is for visitors. Blessed with children and grandchildren of all ages, Dianne has enjoyed exploring in her own backyard and looks forward to sharing her discoveries with you in her travel guide: Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, & Florida’s Space Coast.

Dianne is available for interviews and to speak to local groups on business and tourism topics. Click here to make a speaking request.
