Beach culture blends with the military heritage of Florida's Space Coast for four days of food, fun, music, and activities. Hundreds of military and law enforcement personnel, firefighters, and lifeguards compete in beachside games. Event ends with a moving Sunday afternoon salute to the armed forces. BREVARD ZOO
Summer 2008
The zoo family is proud to announce the March 11 birth of a female Masai giraffe, expected to begin greeting the public in May. During July and August, the Brevard Zoo extends Saturday hours until 9:00 pm. For a unique treat take a guided kayak tour through Florida wetlands. Summer 2008
Combine a visit to the beach with a unique camp experience. "Go for Launch" at Camp Kennedy Space Center. In week-long sessions students explore the past and help build the future of space travel. OR Dive in and ride the waves at half-and full day surfing programs in Cocoa Beach. Attendees need to be able to swim and participant ages range from 6 to 16. Three popular programs are: Cocoa Beach Surf Company Surf School, Ron Jon Surf School, and the Space Coast Surfing Academy.
